Barbara Carol (Freedman) Berger

Barbara Berger, 59, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 22, 2021, at her home in Westminster. Born November 21, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Marian Freedman. She was the loving wife of Ronald Berger, to whom she was married for 28 years.

She was a personal caregiver for those with special needs, specifically Autism, and enjoyed organizing and managing events and fundraisers for special needs children. She also worked a few years at South Carroll High School in Special Education. She also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, reading, cooking, watching the Baltimore Ravens, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her son, Kyle Berger of Washington State, stepson Brent Berger of PA; brother Billy Freedman of Baltimore; and granddaughters Mila, Jolie, and Nova Berger. She will also be missed by her pup Layla and cat Stormy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Randi Freedman.

Services will be announced at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations be made in Barbara’s name to Carroll County Public Schools, c/o Department of Special Education, 125 North Center Street, Westminster, MD (21157).
