Patricia Dessecker Obituary

Patricia Ann Dessecker, 79, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Gettysburg Hospital.  Born August 19, 1941 in White Stone, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Fannie (Laird) Rose.  She was the wife of Thomas C. Dessecker, Sr., to whom she was married for 57 years.

Pat was a graduate of Colonial Beach High School in Colonial Beach, VA.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother.  She attended both the Colonial Beach United Methodist Church in Virginia and the Patapsco United Methodist Church in Maryland. Pat enjoyed reading, watching westerns, cooking, and baking.  She was famous for her lasagna, fudge and Russian tea balls.  More than anything, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Tom, are her three children, Thomas C. Dessecker, Jr. (Lisa) of Fallston, MD, Kevin E. Dessecker, Sr. (Michele) of Taneytown, MD, and Dawn Dessecker Blake (Daniel) of Hunt Valley, MD; 9 grandchildren, Kevin Dessecker, Jr. (Abi Dessecker), Carly Dessecker Mitchell (Jake Mitchell), Nicholas Blake, Benjamin Dessecker, Thomas Dessecker III, William Blake, Timothy Dessecker, Caralyne Blake, and Lillian Dessecker; her sister, Joan Robey Morgan of Colonial Beach, VA; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services are private for family members and close friends.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 108 Byte Dr., Suite 103, Frederick, MD, 21702.
