Michael Henry

Michael Brady Henry, 65, of Hanover, PA, died on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA.  Born July 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Bernard William and JoAnn Elizabeth (Harley) Henry.

Mike retired from the State of Maryland in October, 2017, after 35 years of service.  He had been employed as Maintenance Supervisor at the Maryland State Office Building in Baltimore.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR races and car shows, and operating remote control cars.  He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Mike was always willing to help others when needed.    

Surviving are his children, Shelia Ann Leese Roberts of NC, Michael Paul Henry of Lineboro, and Sara Ivy Bane of Richmond, VA; sister, Tammy Brunk and husband Brian of Taneytown; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He is also remembered by his partner, Catherine Welsh.  He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. Henry.  

A memorial service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at a later time.  The family is being assisted by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
